Meet Susan
About Susan:
House District 51 is where Susan Anderson lives, where her children have gone to school, and where she attends church. She wants to represent her neighbors in the state legislature.
Susan has worked as an educator for the last fifteen years, teaching history, English as a foreign language, and other subjects. For much of this time, she has taught history and world civilization classes as an adjunct professor at MSU-Billings. She and her husband Brad have been married for twenty-two years and have three young adult children.
With extensive family connections to the U.S. armed forces, Susan knows the worry of having a loved one deploy overseas. The support of one’s community and state during such a stressful time is essential, and she will work to encourage that kind of support for our veterans.
Susan believes that in order for Billings to thrive, our part of Billings – at the center of the city -- must thrive. The neighborhoods south and west of downtown like the ones where most of us in House District 51 live have a very special character, and need representation that reflects that special and diverse character. Downtown Billings with its businesses, library, charities, arts organizations and museums, and the increasing number of people who live in apartments and lofts downtown – all must be represented.
